Nativ puts local MLX models in a Mac desktop app

Nativ wraps MLX in a macOS application with two useful interfaces: a chat window for people and a localhost API server for other software.

Simon found that it recognized models already downloaded into his Hugging Face cache. That small convenience avoids making an existing local-model collection start from scratch.

The project brings the work behind Canuma’s vision-model library into an application that can serve both an interactive conversation and a locally built tool.
