Meta’s Muse brings delegated tasks into a virtual computer

Meta introduced Muse on September 8 as a personal agent with a dedicated virtual machine and browser. The company said users control the access they grant. The launch follows the personal-agent project previously reported under the Hatch name.

That moves the interaction beyond a conversation: the product can carry out work across services. Users need to be able to see which accounts it can access, what it has done and which tasks remain unfinished. A virtual machine provides the execution environment; the product’s permissions and activity records determine how understandable that delegation is.
