Nvidia disputes report of a China-specific LPU

Nvidia rejected The Information’s report that it planned a China-specific language-processing unit for shipment by year-end, Reuters reported. The original account described modified hardware and software; Nvidia said it had neither current LPU sales in China nor such a product on its roadmap.

The disagreement remains unresolved in the cited reporting. A commercial incentive to serve China does not establish that the reported design exists. Product plans, sales authorization, orders and deliveries would each require their own evidence.
